Two breed shows on the same day, in the same venue

The Collie Association are pleased to announce that they have agreed with the Smooth Collie Club of Great Britain, to hold back to back shows at the Sports Connexion, Ryton-on-Dunsmore on Sunday 28 November 2010.

The Kennel Club has given the Collie Association special permission to schedule classes for Smooth Collies for this event. Members of both clubs will be able to enter their dogs at both shows, which will be run independently of each other.

Both clubs feel that this is a very exciting venture that will benefit members and other exhibitors.

A Vet’s View – Steve Dean

Drugs That Can Kill

It is now known that certain drugs can be fatal to members of the Wider Collie Family.

Your Health Co-Ordinator has now compiled a three page document relating the history of this discovery, in addition to listing the known, suspected, or potentially harmful active ingredients used in a variety of medications from over-the-counter parasitic elimination preparations to strong anti-cancer drugs.

This document is available for download in PDF format from our Health Issues page, and owners are encouraged to read it carefully, whilst breeders are urged to include a copy with their puppy packs given to new puppy owners.
Remember - it could save the life of YOUR Collie.
